The market is going digital and the real estate market is no exception. The Sarah Bernard Realty team believes that our clients should come first. And more and more people are wondering how the device in their pocket can help them find the home of their dreams.

And with so many apps and notifications, it can be hard to tell the good from the ugly before downloading. So you asked and we listened! Without further ado, here are our `Top 5 Smartphone Apps for Buying a Home in St. Louis, Missouri`

Looking for a new home and not sure where to start? Or maybe you are selling a home and dreaming of your next dream property. We would love to hear from you! A good real estate agent can appraise a home in a matter of minutes by walking out the front door. SBRT believes there is no substitute for that!

For Buyers & Sellers:

  • Realtor.com Use the Realtor.com app to find nearby properties that you might otherwise miss; It claims to show more houses for sale than any other real estate app. And, true to his word, he showed us most of the homes for sale in St. Louis Market Square. Browse the listings updated every 15 minutes by clicking on the actual “For Sale” signs, swiping your finger across the Android Wear smartwatch app, or filtering the listings by zip code, square footage, house prices, number of beds, and plus. Did we mention that the app even supports Google’s Chromecast? This means you can stream open house and apartment information, including addresses, to your TV. Download the app here!
    • Homesnap: Although the Homesnap app was developed for home buyers, it can also be a valuable tool for home sellers. Take a photo of any home and the app will reveal details like home estimates, interior photos, beds, bathrooms, taxes, property limits, partner schools, school ratings, and more. We were impressed with the beautiful and easy-to-use interface of this app, which has more than 3,000 households in St. Louis. You can even chat with a contact person in real time directly after an apartment inquiry! Download the app here!

  • Xome:. The Xome app can be a home seller’s best friend. Xome Zoom allows you to “zoom in” on any of the 100 million homes on Zoom’s property listing and search results by property type, price range, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, nearby schools, square footage, open houses, and a variety of other popular metrics. Highlights include Xome’s Walk Score and Xome’s Value feature, which shows the market value of a particular property. One of the app’s other trademarks, Xome Concierge, connects you with an agent who can schedule a showing and answer questions about the property. And we’re happy to announce that you have pretty good control in the St. Louis market! Download the app here!

For Sellers – Selling A Home:

  • Housz: It’s no secret that home improvements can add value to your home. But sometimes it can be difficult to assess where to invest your time and money!
